That screw cap broke on mine after five uses when attempting to make a fresh (not frozen) fruit smoothie -- and I am the type of person who is careful to not abuse tools and equipment -- stuff lasts a long time with me. For anyone who has not used a blender before, after that ring breaks, you cannot use the blender -- it will leak. I tried to repair the ring using the appropriate glue according to the ABS stamp on the plastic. I didn't think it would hold, but I had to try to save it from the landfill. Of course it didn't work. My guess is that it is either poorly designed or made and does not withstand the vibrations it is subjected to. It is a real pity. I am returning it and I am looking for a Professional grade. I thought this one might be fine for just making shakes, smoothies etc...but it is just junk. More frustration than my very old Oster. Amazon didn't have reviews but once it broke down, I found lots of poor reviews on other websites. Best to avoid this blender, IMO. |
